who we are


java is its people - its baristas, its customers and its community.


we are passionate about coffee and creating an inviting, inspired environment to enjoy it in. for us, coffee is not only a drink but an experience. we will gladly give you a paper cup to go, but we would rather you stand at the bar or sit nearby and hold a ceramic cup in your hand. we want coffee to be something you watch, smell, study and enjoy alongside others who love it.


our baristas work on a semi automatic 3 group synesso. it is our pride and joy - we have even nicknamed it Gio.

our synesso is an essential part of what we do, but our baristas are the other crucial component. they do not just push levers and buttons - they move through every step of the process with care and precision, understanding why, how and when to do what they do.


they also smile (most of the time!), chat and are happy to share what they know and learn from you too.
